Finished the principal photography on Woo Ming Jin's SECOND LIFE OF THIEVES

After 14 gruelling days, we're finally done with Ming Jin's SECOND LIFE OF THIEVES shoot. For me, the strange about film shoots is that they always seem longer than they really are. It's not because they are miserable so time seems to flow very slowly, it's just that so many things happen in one day that when everything is over, you realize you've gone through a range of emotions that you usually would go through in a longer span of time.

On the 15th of November, Day 10 of the shoot, we had a few extra child stars.

The girl in the yellow dress is a master of minimalistic acting.

We were shooting a number of stageplays within the film.

It was a masterclass of surrealistic images and (intentional) hammy acting!

The kids are born actors.

Day 11, I had to fill in temporarily as make-up artist. A producer who co-writes, edits, sometimes co-directs, and now make-up? My perfectionism was getting the better of me.

Day 12, November 17, my mom's birthday. I wasn't able to go home to celebrate birthday with her.

But I made sure photos from her youth will appear in the film, because cinema is forever.

The evening was quite beautiful.

November 18, day 13. Second last day of the shoot. We returned to the beach location that we went to on the second day of our shoot. It's a full circle.

Second last day of the SECOND LIFE OF THIEVES shoot. Nice morning.

Later in that afternoon, I got to enter a bird's nest house in the middle of the beautiful paddy fields.

November 20th was the last day of our shoot. The call time was 5:45am.

I left home at 5am. My neighbourhood was quiet.

We went up into the mountains to shoot the first scene of the film.

Finally, it ended.

The memories so far, had been great!
