The Media Coverage of AUTUMN DI HATIKU

In my last post, I mentioned about the web series that I co-directed and wrote, AUTUMN DI HATIKU.

14 episodes had came out, so the series has already reached its halfway mark.

What truly amazed me in the past few weeks was the media coverage of this series.

A few days before the actual launching of the series, and before the press conference, the main cast members were already involved in a whirlwind promotional trip. They appeared in a few different talk shows...

Nasi Lemak Kopi O on 9TV.

Malaysia Hari Ini on TV3.

Wanita Hari Ini on TV3.

8TV Nite Live.

Covered on numerous different newspapers, from last month to yesterday.

The fact is, I cannot really even keep up. What's for sure is that, not even when I went to Venice Film Festival 2009 (the year my short film Kingyo was invited), or with Ming Jin to Cannes Film Festival 2010 (Ming Jin's THE TIGER FACTORY, which I produced and co-wrote, was invited), or winning my awards in various film festivals, did I even get 10% of the coverage that AUTUMN DI HATIKU had been receiving. It's mind-boggling.
